Surface Creek Winery

Officially established in 1999, Jim and Jeanne Durr have created a line of fine wines made with care and attention to detail. Winemaking as an art form finds a natural home with other works of art. The tasting room for Surface Creek Winery shares a 80-year-old stone building with Surface Creek Gallery in a welcoming and appealing setting. Jim is the winemaker and Jeanne operates the Gallery. We are located in the Surface Creek Valley, one of the premier fruit growing areas in Colorado. Surface Creek Valley is nestled below the southern shoulders of the Grand Mesa in Delta County and is known for its commanding western views, friendly people, and soil and climate that provide fine grapes along with other wonderful fruit.

Directions:	Located at the North Road intersection on Colorado Hwy 65 in Eckert (within "Orchard City"). Take Hwy 65, north from CO Hwy 92 out of Delta or Hotchkiss, or south from I-70 over the beautiful Grand Mesa. (We prefer the "Debeque Cutoff" when coming from the east on I-70.) Features:	The tasting room for Surface Creek wines is located in the Surface Creek Gallery, which features the original works of nationally recognized watercolorist, Dale Russell Smith, and the fine art of other Colorado artists.
