Rocky Mountain MeaderyFounded in 1995 by Connie and Fred Strothman, Rocky Mountain Meadery offers a wonderful alternative to ordinary wine - delectable honey wine. This age-old "drink of the gods," is fermented and filtered with "new age" technology resulting in a beautiful, clear wine which varies from dry to sweet. These wines are appropriately named King Arthur, Lancelot, Guinevere and Camelot. Other meads blend a wine made from the remarkable Palisade fruit with honey wine under labels such as "Apricots 'n Honey," "Peaches 'n Honey" plus four additional fruit blends. In 1997, Rocky Mountain Meadery began producing hard Apple and Pear Ciders. You are invited to taste free samples at the Meadery, browse in the beautiful gift shop or view the winery activities. Enjoy the view of the Grand Mesa from our cozy gazebo, picnic with your family and savor the happy, relaxed atmosphere of Rocky Mountain Meadery.
